Stuff Update

Took a while, but finally, I have received my Wizard's Edition. Definitely worth it. I won't be playing the game until I finish Okami HD. I don't want to add to my backlog of abandoned games. Also in the video game department I seem to have returned to my Pokémon phase. I am playing White 2 on the side when I have less time than I would for Okami HD. Being a handheld game though, it's easy to put down so it's not something like Okami HD vs Ni No Kuni, I can handle both...and all because I wanted the Keldeo giveaway.

I wasn't planning on it, but somehow I ended up watching Yu-Gi-Oh! 3D: Bonds Beyond Time. I liked it but I'll add my seal later. Edit: So the movie is about a bad guy from the future where his world is destroyed because of the "duel monsters" game that was invented. So the bad guy travels through 3 timelines to get the best monsters off the main good guys and plans to use them to destroy the creator of duel monsters for good. The 3 heroes team up and play a card game against the bad guy to save the world.

Out of two episodes aired, I've enjoyed watching The Following on FOX, but I think I'm going to stop watching it only because I don't want to be hooked to another show. I already watch too many things.

On that note, I was sad to find out that Cartoon Network pulled the plug on Green Lantern: The Animated Series. Having only recently joined the Green Lantern fandom(or Fanterns as they were dubbed), I am sad that my main source of all that is GL related being taken from me. They took it down in favor of Teen Titans GO and Beware The Batman. Why couldn't they just you know...have 2 hours of DC Nation(they also canceled Young Justice which I don't watch). I'm sure they could've squeezed in an extra hour of DC cartoons.

I think that covers things for now.

Digital River

Digital River sucks as a company. They can't seem to do anything right. I've had stuff shipped from them twice and both times there's been delays(and cancellations for some other people). First time was when I ordered Marvel vs Capcom 3 from Capcom's store. Now I'm waiting to receive the Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch(Wizard's Edition) game. Luckily I can deal with it because I'm still working on Okami HD.

Knowing / The Three Stooges

Over the past few days I watched both of these movies. First up is The Three Stooges. Will Sasso, Sean Hayes and Chris Diamontopolous playing Curly, Larry and Moe respectively. They nailed their roles perfectly. The film had the classic sound effects and opening/ending music from the original series. Not sure why the cast of Jersey Shore was involved with the film but for what happens, I'm glad they joined.

This one stars Nicholas Cage and is all about numbers. 50 years before Cage shows up there's a girl who starts writing down a bunch of numbers before placing the paper inside a time capsule to later be discovered by Cage's son in the film. When Cage starts putting the numbers together, he realizes that they are dates in which disasters are revealed with date and number of casualties involved. With 3 dates left to occur before disaster strikes, it's up to Cage to try and figure everything out. I enjoyed both films(which of course you knew that because they got my seal of approval.

Abduction

So for today's hangout(last night) we watched Abduction on Netflix. I personally wasn't interested in this because I was judging the fact that a Twilight actor was in it. I was surprised though. The movie is watchable. There are some pretty good fight scenes in there.

TV

Haven't updated lately. I've been distracted with Okami HD. During yesterday's play-through, I caught up to the point I left off in the Wii version of the game. I'm very much enjoying this game. Other than that not much to say. The shows I watch on TV are returning. Once Upon A Time, Castle and American Horror Story have returned. Next week Supernatural will return. Not sure when Arrow starts again. I know Revolution comes back in March. TMNT and Green Lantern: TAS should be back soon. Supah Ninjas comes back February. Wow I watch too much stuff.

Okami HD

While it wasn't a "resolution" of mine, I am attempting to actually finish whatever game I start. I tend to leave it abandoned after a while either because I got stuck somewhere, or I started playing something else on the side that got my full attention. I'm currently playing Okami HD and WWE '13. This is easy to balance since I finished the campaign mode in WWE '13 and I just play though a few matches for fun. I'm really loving Okami HD. It was meant to be in high definition. I also own Okami on PS2 and Wii. When I got the PS2 version off of eBay, I had also bought some other game and I ended up playing that instead and didn't even start Okami. It's pretty much brand new minus the shrink wrap I took off to look inside. Since I never played it I decided to get the Wii version when that came out. I played that but eventually got stuck at some point and never went back for a good while. On a random day I picked it up again and managed to get myself unstuck but still didn't try to finish the game. So now this time around I need to get past the point I reached in the Wii version and finish it through. I'm sure I won't get 100% on it, but as long as I get to the ending I'll consider it a mission accomplished. The good thing is that since it's been so long since I last played, the game feels 95% new to me. I do remember things here and there, but overall it's pretty much starting over.

The Hobbit

Just got back from watching The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. I enjoyed the film despite not following the LOTR series. I saw the first one but don't really remember it much. I think my favorite character in the film was Gandalf. He was pretty badass at times. The scenery and soundtrack was great too. I'm willing to watch the rest and go back to the LOTR series and finish those off too.

Looper - Premium Rush

Tonight was a Joseph Gordon-Levitt movie night for the hangout I had with my friends today(was Thursday). Rented both and enjoyed both. I wouldn't have been disappointed paying money at the theater to see either one. I personally felt everyone did good with their roles. With Looper, I really like the little kid playing Cid(Pierce Gagnon). He was great.

Premium Rush has Levitt playing the role of a bike messenger(delivery service) in NY.Gets into some issues because of contents he's suppose to deliver. Does the job because of the rush he gets off of it compared to some office job where he'd be stuck in a room for hours doing boring stuff.

Looper has Levitt as a guy working for the mafia that disposes of bodies when needed. Movie's set in Kansas 2044. The bodies come from the future through time travel from 2074. He's assigned a time and place to shoot on arrival. Gets his payday with each kill. Things get interesting when the next person he's suppose to kill is his future self.

I'd recommend both movies; and thus they earn my seal of approval.

GetGlue

Not sure if I did it right but I have finally decided to request some of the stickers I've earned on GetGlue. Let's see how long it takes and what/how many they send.

Birth

Today one of my cousins gave birth to an un-named baby girl. I want to see her but probably won't until the weekend. Welcome to the family though! I'll update when I find out what her name is.

Edit: Forgot to add her name. She is forever to be known as Natalie = )

Finding Nemo

So I finally got to watching this movie in its entirety. I don't know why I took so long to do it, but I loved it. My favorite character was easily Ellen's Dory. I particularly loved her whale talk. I will own this on Blu-Ray in the future. That's for sure.

Enter 2013

So I'm going to try and revive this blog. I have no idea what I'm going to do with it, but I might as well do SOMETHING. I think I only made one post last year. Gotta try to keep it more active.
